Andreas Johard is Co-Head of Hammarskiöld’s Dispute Resolution team. He focuses on international arbitration and complex cross-border disputes, acting for international clients, including sovereign states, in high-stakes proceedings.

Andreas has particular experience in disputes connected to investment arbitration frameworks, as well as finance disputes, post-M&A matters, and large-scale construction and energy projects. He also represents clients before Swedish courts, including the Supreme Court, where court proceedings form part of a broader dispute strategy, challenges to arbitral awards or enforcement.

A growing part of Andreas’ practice involves disputes arising from technology-driven and AI-enabled business models. He is recognised in leading directories and is recommended in the inaugural Lexology Index: Artificial Intelligence.

Prior to joining Hammarskiöld, Andreas practised at other leading Swedish law firms, including Vinge, Cederquist and Hannes Snellman.

“Andreas is a strategic thinker and has the courage to say to the client what should be done, and more importantly, what is not worthwhile.”
