On 10 May 2022 the European Commission adopted the new vertical agreements block exemption regulation (VBER), see Commission Regulation 2022/720.
It enters into force on 1 June 2022 (replacing the current VBER) and contains certain new requirements that need to be taken into consideration when entering into new vertical agreements, such as distribution agreements. There is a one year transition period in respect of agreements already in force on 31 May 2022.
