Hammarskiöld & Co advises Zmarta Group in connection with its recommended cash offer to the shareholders of Insplanet AB (publ). The offer is carried out through Ceratiidae III AB. The total value of Zmarta Group’s offer is approximately SEK 176 million.
Zmarta Group is a leading digital player in comparison of consumer finance services in the Nordics, focusing on private loans, mortgages, electricity and insurances. The group is comprised of a range of brands including Zmarta, Elskling, Freedom Finance and Centum. The company was founded in 1999, has 200 employees and offices in Stockholm, Ängelholm, Helsinki, Oslo and Hamburg. Zmarta Group is owned by Bauer Media Group.
The Insplanet group develops and operates digital consumer services and brands focused on insurance products and personal loans. The company holds a leading position in comparing insurances for consumers via the Insplanet.com comparison site. Comparison of personal loans and a smaller range of personal finance services are offered under the MyLoan brand. Insplanet’s shares are listed on Nasdaq First North, Stockholm.
