Hammarskiöld has acted as Swedish legal adviser to Voith GmbH & Co. KGaA in its acquisition of the BTG group from Spectris Plc (listen in London) for a total gross cash consideration of €319 million.
The transaction is conditioned on customary regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed during Q4 2019.
BTG provides specialised measuring instruments, software and services to customers to help deliver improved operational performance, cost management and enhanced quality for the pulp and paper industry. In this context, the parties believe that BTG’s next stage of development can be better fulfilled under Voith’s ownership, given its notable presence in the global paper market.
