The sellers of Cliens Holding AB, the parent company of the Stockholm-based Swedish asset manager Cliens Kapitalförvaltning AB, have entered into an agreement to sell just under 79 per cent of the company to Mandatum plc, a leading Nordic provider of financial services with expertise in asset and wealth management as well as life insurance, listed on Nasdaq Helsinki.
Cliens is a well-established, partner-owned asset manager with particular expertise in equity management, offering nine actively managed funds as well as discretionary mandates. The company had assets under management of approximately SEK 36 billion as of 30 June 2026.
As a result of the transaction, Cliens will remain an independent company operating under its own brand, with Mandatum as its principal owner. The current management and staff will remain shareholders, holding a stake of just over 21 percent. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
